"The Picture Does Not Make Me As Good Looking As I Know I Am!" -CJO

This past weekend was memorable - good times were had for sure!

The bachelorette turned out to be a great night - dinner, dancing, laughing! We met some interesting people that night and the pics - well, some will be destroyed!

The TFC game was awful yet the afternoon was awesome with TG. He got his pic taken with a few members of the team randomly going into the stadium and we had a couple drinks. We had great seats and made the most of their 3-0 loss - so sad.

The banker and the bride are getting married in 3 weeks - holy crap! I have a lot to do/save for the day...it is going to creep up so fast but I know it'll be a blast!

In September TG and I are planning to get away for a week down south! It is SO hard narrowing down the resorts, doing the research, reading the reviews, watching the prices but I love it - I find it so exciting! I look forward to having it booked in August and I can just look for travel tips and talk to those who have been there in the forums online. We are watching a few resorts in Cuba and a couple in the Dominican Republic - as long as the weather is nice (i.e. no tropical storm), I will be good to go!

I am committed to journaling and my points. I am planning to stay on track from now until vacation (seriously) so that I can look and feel my best for the upcoming events. It's been hard and I have not been as focused as I could have been - no one to blame but myself. Here's to a good month of WW!

Cheers!

Catnip and Cocktails

For some reason TG and I were really tired last night. When we get tired, we get stupid. We also get silly and a little delusional. Here is a sample of what we did last night - just chilling at home.

We watched So You Think You Can Dance - Mia and Neo did their "solos" (courtesy of TG) and I recorded it with my digital camera.

We also compared out little "family" to that of Entourage (great show!). We decided:

TG is "obviously" Vince
Mano is E
Neo is a little bit Lloyd and a whole lot of Turtle
Mia is Drama
I think there is also a little bit of Ari in all of us!

We gave the cats lots of catnip (I think it went bad because the kitties were unusually weird) and looked up vacation destinations while having a couple cocktails - good times.

So while I agree we may be a little hurting, I laughed really, REALLY hard. In a "snort-in-the-microphone-of-the-camera-can't-catch-my-breath" kind of way and it felt good!

Cheers and I hope this weekend you get a chance to laugh as hard as I did!

Peace.

PS - I am glad Kameron and Jesse are gone.

I am really looking forward to this weekend! It is jammed with fun stuff!

Saturday we are having a girls night out for my "gold-digging" friend in the Toronto area - she is getting married in a few weeks so this night should prove itself to be a great time! There are lots of memories to be made...

THEN...

On Sunday TG and I get to go (again!) to the TFC game! We had such an amazing time there last month and I look forward to that again. Our seats are a little closer, we are going a little earlier and we may get have a couple more drinks thanks to the "go" system in and out of the city! It actually works out really well...

This past weekend was really relaxing too - TG and I chilled, did a little day trip to Port Credit, had lunch with a friend and went to the drive in, had a few drinks and ate with the families. On our recent trip up the 401 we decided on two new rules to the license plate punching game:
1. It does not count when you have coffee in your hand - just acknowledge, you'll get the point and no physical punch is required - a virtual punch is appropriate in this circumstance.
2. Transport trucks do not count at all. No physical or virtual punch is appropriate in this circumstance.

(Yet the game continues if 1 person falls asleep...)

A few things going on...

A relative died last week. This was the first funeral I have ever been to in my family. I am lucky that all the great grandparents I have even known are still alive. He is at peace now and is no longer sick yet it is still hard to see someone you love cry and in turn you cry for them too. You also cry for yourself because you are feeling lots of different emotions. In the end, I realized that I was grateful because there was no point in being sad any more. I am that - grateful.

My mmmbop friend needs to make up up mind if she hasn't already. By making up her mind, I actually mean, squash the bug before it infests Canada and more specifically, your life. Taylor would not approve.

After visiting my friend Sara yesterday for an unofficial luncheon, I have decided that I am going to get drunk at her wedding. I know that I signed on to help and all that fun jazz (and I am so happy to do so...seriously) yet after stuffing the tea I deserve to take advantage of a drink or two the day of! You can go enjoy your gold-digging gelato and I will polish of the wine on the table...again!

Felt great Saturday night - *Grrreeeat Saturday night! Then on Sunday we were exhausted, groggy, and just generally icky. Today was not a huge improvement but hopefully the selection of meds I brought home will do the trick - hopefully.

Take care this week, call a relative you haven't chatted with in a while, send and email or send a card - there is always a good reason! xxoo

Long Weekend Awesomeness

TG was very appreciative of the surprise birthday party we had on board a limo bus this past weekend. I am honestly not 100% sure what he'll remember the most - the party, the venue, the friends, the laughs or the 20 minutes we had alone on the bus after we dropped off everyone else?! Seriously, the "awesomeness" is starting to go to my head but I am not complaining...

Overall the weekend was amazing. TG did end up getting a steak, we went to the driving range and the beach, had a drink with my sister and the new beau (good first impression), saw the fireworks, and had a few drinks - what more could you ask for? I am so happy.

It's a small world - sometimes too small and other times perfect.

I have nothing on the agenda this weekend - I am glad, I could use the downtime to do things like laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and other good housewife-like tasks. It needs to be done though, badly. Not too many things please me more then fresh food in the refrigerator - TG can vouch for me there as he may find it somewhat annoying the delight I get from produce on a weekly basis.

Have a good week - stay healthy and have fun! xoxo
