Thank You, Thank You...

The weekend was great! Spent time with TG, had some time alone, got some cleaning done, got in some exercise, ate some great food and relaxed! The weather was beautiful and I fully enjoyed the sunshine (I have a very slight burn the prove it!).

Dinner at Martini's was yum-o (a la Rachel Ray, even though she is a spazz) and despite the fact that they changed the menu a little and we clearly had a "new" waiter - it was delish! Thanks TG! (Thank you, Thank You!)

Saturday night - TG, a friend, and myself went to a local night club. We don't go often and it was alright...I think TG had a better time the I did, after all he is the one that got picked up and flattery is fun no matter where you are! So Titty McBoobs (etc.) walks over, holding hands with her friend, and out of the blue (with me standing next to TG, yet minding my own business) asks him to come dance with their friend. TG replies politely that I was his girlfriend and says no thanks. You can tell by his face that he is flattered and who wouldn't be? There were several guys standing around and even more on the dance floor (with boners) that would have been more then willing to get their freak on with McBoobs. It was a gutsy move and I applaud her for that but as the night went on I saw the selection of men that she attracted and TG was way out of her league. No offence, he just does not have pants 10x too big, a bandanna in his pocket, or a jersey on - it's just the way he is. TG is far more classy then the k-fed wannabes that sometimes monopolize the crowd and besides, even if I wasn't there, I can't picture TG latching on and rubbing up behind her - which seems to be what you were after since that is what I observed her engaging in for the most past of the night. After the incident she was kind of hard to miss. Even when I was single the whole "let me rub myself on you from behind" dance move was appalling. I was not turned on but rather completely off. I am not a dancing queen but you need to be able to hold you own on the floor, give me space, you can have yours, and you'll know when I want to touch - TG gets that and we have a great time - xo

This is why I am hot - Why? Is it because you got you summer rims back on? You wear Oakley's? A couple a chicks gave you a wink, a glance, a smile? No, it's the hospital pants for sure - this is why, this is why, this is why...
I, on the other hand, get creep-o truck drivers looking through my sunroof and whistling at my cleavage while sitting at a red light - not flattering, a little scary, and somewhat rude in my opinion.
Still, if I was a stripper (which I sometimes envision in my head) that would be the song that I would use for my "finale" - is it weird that I have a "if I was a stripper" play list?! I don't think so...

Have a great week! Stay healthy!

Resent, Honesty and Martini's! (...And The Gym)

Friday night I resented TG. I told him this so it should come as no surprise. I felt this way because while he was meeting The Hip at the hall of fame and taking in a concert, I was dealing with a sick cat. In fact, I was rushing the cat to the vet prior to my exam and thank goodness I did. Who knew a bladder could become the size of a grapefruit in a matter of a few hours? All is good now but if you had asked me on Friday if I would be speaking to TG on Sunday (let alone what we actually did!) the answer would have been "NO"! All aside, the trip was a success and everyone is home safe and sound (with a few broken blood vessels - but that's not important) - and I even got a sweatshirt - Holla!

So I've been told that this weekend is a Mano and TG weekend - it's good and I am looking forward to dinner on Saturday - my prize from the envelope game! In addition to that sometimes it's just nice to re-connect. I find that sometimes, although you are close with a person and you think know a lot about that person, you can still be surprised - sometimes you can't anticipate things - good or bad. I find that the best you can do is learn from each other, you may not agree or fully understand but you can always learn. Things can get a little complicated sometimes and we discuss rather the argue - I guess that is the ideal. For the most part I am pleased with the way we communicate - I usually like it better when he agrees with me but when he doesn't, I always appreciate his side of things...usually. After all, I am far from perfect but she'd better be prettier and rich or it's not worth it! xoxo

On a simpler note, my herbs have started to peek through the soil! I really hope that they grow as it is my new hobby for the summer and really want to see them bloom. I am a little ambitious/optimistic with my tiny-tom tomato plant but well see what happens - you never know...

I am going to go to the gym a couple times this week to jump start me being back on track and leading a healthier lifestyle. TG has suggested that we start to jog and I am on board (once the temperature hits double digits - this weekend!??!) since at one point in time I didn't suck all that bad - I think TG will be a good motivator for me when it comes to going for a jog. When it comes to running I admire some of my pals from afar (Libb), whereas TG will be the one next to me on the sofa! He has also provided some tangible motivation for me to get back into shape which I am determined to cash in on!

I will leave you with a touching quote from a ridiculous movie I watched this weekend. If you know where it is from - you too are a little pathetic! PS - Crack is Whack!

"So what is it that you do?"
"I'm a gangsta."
"No, really what do you do?"
"I'm a rapper."
"No, what do you really do?"
"I'm a gangsta rapper."

So Much To Look forward To!

Tomorrow I write my (final) final! I will be officially DONE school as of 10pm tomorrow evening and look forward to not a whole lot changing because of it! It's a matter of principle I suppose...

Had a good long weekend! It was interesting, relaxing, refreshing, satisfying, fun, and generally pleasant. TG and I seemed to be in the car a lot (on the 401/403) so needless to say my arm is sore - not really yet the game continues. A new rule was added to the game this weekend - the game is suspended if TG is drinking coffee and/or it is raining (yet it's game on when I'm sleeping?!) Hmmm...

On another note, with all that was going on I (we) got to break in my new digital camera - me likes!

TG is off on a mini road trip with his brothers to Cleveland this weekend - taking in a concert and a museum during the two days. Mano is home alone (with Mia and Neo) - plans with some ladies on Saturday night and a workout date with a friend on Sunday. It is that time of year when it is REALLY time to get your butt in gear and get into a healthier lifestyle (aka - put my gym membership to use). I plan on doing a little spring cleaning this weekend and basically catch up with myself - paint my toes, read a magazine, go for a walk, clean my car - the basics.

Spring clothes this season - is it just me or is anyone else less then impressed with what is in some of the stores? Some stuff is kickin' (and expensive) but the majority I find to be tween genre, chunky, cheap looking and/or plastic! I like earth tones and neutral/classic stuff and it seems that for the most part I am out of luck-hit and miss this spring that's for sure.

Got some tickets to the Toronto FC games this season! There is SO much to look forward to this year!

I will leave you all with these quotes - have a great day!

"You know what? I respect women! I love women! I respect them so much that I completely stay away from them!"

"If I have to hear "Yamo Be There" one more time, I'm going to "Yamo" burn this place to the ground!"

(Can you guess the movie? Easy one I know...)

Deal!

It seems as though several of my posts have revolved around/implied the popular game show "Deal or No Deal" - this post will not be an exception.

On Friday I came home from work/tea with a friend to several envelopes taped to the mantle. IT seems as though TG felt a little bad for neglecting to remember that we had been (re) dating for about two years last week. It was what it was - I was not mad, sad, disappointed - just had hoped it would be acknowledged but with SO much going on, I was not upset when it was not mentioned (on his end) - after all I was supposed to be in school.

TG had made a mock game of Deal where I chose and envelope and got to keep choosing until I selected a gift that I wanted - really though they were all winners and how could I go wrong with my support team (Mia and Neo) cheering me on?! Although Mia almost had me convinced to deal with the lingerie, and I almost opted out with the groceries on TG - I kept going and ended up with my original envelope - a dinner for two at a restaurant of my choice. I was later notified that it was the million dollar case - lucky me!

Seriously, I am lucky - xo
