TG's birthday is this long weekend - yeah! We have dinner plans tomorrow night at a new restaurant in the area, looking forward to the menu (lots of good/healthy stuff) and have invested in a "pregnant" lady shirt to wear for the night. I told TG that if someone does ask me when I am "due" I will flip my plate of food - hopefully it does not come to that, I just want to look nice and finish my meal without being ejected from the restaurant.

LONG WEEKEND! Loves it! I have been so good with my points the past two weeks, I feel like I am on a little roll with WW. I have a goal, TG knows about it and I think we are going to work together to get there. Lots of good and healthy stuff to eat is key along with planning - that is what makes the difference for me, that and not getting drunk! From now on I will save my points for booze - consider some banked for the weekend! After all, what is the long weekend without a cold drink?! Boring, that's what it is...

I Am Busy...

This is a nuts week - it just is.


I think come Monday the busy'ness will have paid off (hopefully for the happy couple!) yet in the meantime I want to sleep and cry - just a little.


Weekend was good because my marathon friend got married to my prom date from high school - good times. They are an adorable couple who I wish to have a long, healthy, and happy life together. I toasted them that evening with a hell (ok, a shit load) of a lot of wine, too much wine...enough said. TG returned from his NF getaway the next afternoon and I could barely form words, let alone give him a hug. I am sure he was thrilled that I managed to shower before 4pm that day and didn't throw up on the way to his parents.


Stag and doe as well as a wedding shower this weekend for the banker and his bride! Things all seem to be falling into place but only time will tell - crossing my fingers for some last minute arrangements to come though.

Good luck to my friends moving this weekend - SO exciting! Invite TG and I down once you are settled for a visit - sometime in July would be great!

Next week should be great! TG will be having his champagne birthday (I will let you guess what day of the week...) and a little celebration will definitely be in order!


It was a tough week managing my WW points and my apparent alcoholism but I am back in the good books with a good frame of mind.

Not Normal...

I went for a tea at lunch and the mini-van in front of me at the drive-thru had one of those ridiculous bumper stickers that read: "Gimmie my Timmies and Nobody Gets Hurt!" along with a "Baptist or Bust" sticker. The kinda funny part about all of this is that I went to Williams for my tea - for the record the green tea there is the best!

My boss was back at the office this afternoon and commented on my new longer and prettier (french) nails. He said that my hands look more feminine and he likes them. He didn't think I was going to make it through the weekend and I have and proven him wrong! I thought at that point the conversation would come to a close but unfortunately for me this is what happened:

Boss: What does TG think about your nails?
Mano: He likes them I guess - his back scratches have improved I guess...
Boss: Haha! Do you want to know what I did to improve my looks?
Mano: What?
Boss: Nevermind...well...nevermind...
Mano: Ok - I don't notice anything different...
Boss: Well you wouldn't - did you ever see that Seinfeld episode where the guy shaves everything?
Mano: Ummm...stop talking now.
Boss: Seriously, I have some buddies that do it so I decided to this weekend.
Mano: It is not that uncommon and it is summer... (rolls eyes)
Boss: Well that is what I was thinking, I...
Mano: I am serious I don't want to hear anymore, no offense.
Boss: I told you you should have "neverminded"
Mano: You and I having this conversation is not normal.
Boss: Does...
Mano: STOP! Honestly...

Wawawewa Weekend!

Great weekend! The FC game was awesome - the energy and the game was incredible. The seats were amazing and the company was fantastic. Beer prices were less the impressive but what can you do?! I am excited to see them again in July...

TG and I made it to the movies the weekend. We decided to see Knocked Up (since we LOVE the 40 Year Old Virgin and he loves Katherine H.) and it was pretty funny - a few memorable lines were quoted over the weekend but more so an image haunted us Friday night - big (BIG) ewww.
In an attempt to gross out the audience and mortify most of the females in the crowd, there was "the" shot in the delivery room that stayed with TG ad I for the majority of the weekend - it was not pretty. The ride home form the theatre was relatively quiet and then we went upstairs...

Mano: Listen, it's OK if we don't do it tonight, we can make up for it tomorrow (wink wink)...
TG: Is it bad that I can't get that image out of my head?
Mano: No.
TG: OK, no, it's OK...
Mano: Just so you know I DID take my pill today...
TG: Haha!
Mano: Wait! let me go check, I am pretty sure (heads to the bathroom) Yup! I did...
TG: Haha! Babe, my neck is still sore...
Mano: Want me to rub some A5-35 on it?
TG: Sure, thanks.
Mano: So we'll make up for this tomorrow?
TG: Yea - with lingerie?
Mano: Sounds good.
TG: Deal.

Honestly, I think I was trying to talk us both out of it. At the theatre I am not to sure if I was gagging a little because of the image or because I was eating Nibs with nothing to drink? Regardless this in my second "shout out" to my birth control in two posts - Holla!
