Willing and Wanting
A co-worker mentioned to me today that tonight is supposed to be a full moon. She also mentioned that she read online (via MSN homepage) that women are the most willing to "put out" when the moon is full. At first I thought this was interesting and at second I thought this was strange and had some questions about these women who were willing to have sex when the moon is full.
Perhaps my initial assumption is wrong - I presume that the women who are willing already have a mate and are not looking randomly have sex just because the moon is full - hence the "willing" part. I do not think that these women are single and simply looking to hook up. In addition to that, don't these women want to have sex with their mate? Call me crazy but I like to have sex with my boyfriend - I want to and not just willing to!
Maybe the women polled for this ridiculous survey were lonely, middle-aged, unhappily married/coupled women, who for them sex is a holiday, birthday, vacation, and full moon, kind of event. In reality, I realize that many couples live sexless (and sometime loveless) marriages, I think it's somewhat sad and it is by no means my place to judge their relationship but I feel for the women who don't have that connection with their partner. At the risk of sounding sappy - it is a special feeling. The feeling of being able to share, trust, laugh, experiment, and experience is a good thing and I feel that you should want to and not simply be willing to have sex with your partner. If that feeling isn't deep down somewhere - are you with the right person?
All in all, despite the source, the poll was generally stupid. It did get me thinking though and who knows maybe something is in the spring full moon air that drives our hormones? IF that is the case ladies, put on your cutest little outfit (or naughtiest - grrr!), mount him while he's on the sofa (I suggest waiting till Lost is over...!), and show him that you want to have sex, that you want that connection, and that above all, you want him - after all it is hump day! Now you have two reasons to blow his...err...ummm...mind! Yea...mind - xo
